Acne scars are one of the most noticeable signs of aging, but you have options for erasing them. Facial scar removal can help uncover your skin’s natural smoothness. Here at Uptown Medical Wellness & Anti-Aging Center, we’re proud to offer Facial Scar Removal services via the Cynosure® Palomar Icon™ 1540 Fractional Laser. This is a non-ablative fractional laser, meaning it won’t damage the surface of your skin. The Cynosure® 1540 utilizes special light energy to rejuvenate aging and damaged skin. This tool can be used to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, acne scars, wrinkles, uneven texture, and thinning and sagging skin.
Acne scars and hyperpigmentation can detract from your skin’s natural glow, but Facial Acne Scar Removal can help reverse the clock. We love this service for its many awesome benefits and advantages:
The word “laser” might have you wincing, but the good news is that this treatment is completely pain-free and non-invasive. The length of your session will depend on the size of the area being treated, but most procedures will take about 30 minutes. For optimum results, you will need to undergo three to four sessions of treatment with each session being spaced about a month apart. You can expect to see results within 4 weeks of treatment, including visible improvements in tone and texture. After treatment, you may experience side effects similar to a moderate sunburn. You may experience mild swelling, but it should fade in less than a week.
The Cynosure® 1540 Fractional Laser can be used for patients with all skin types, but it’s ideal for those with aging skin or those looking to prevent signs of aging. This treatment might be right for you if you want to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, improve the appearance of scars, address hyperpigmentation and dark spots, and improve skin firmness. This treatment might not be right for you if you have deep wrinkles or if you’re on certain medications that can damage the skin. You should talk to your med spa clinician about any concerns or skin conditions you may have. Your clinician can help you decide on the right anti-aging solution for your skin.
