There are many different Juvéderm® formulas for use in reducing the signs of aging across multiple regions of the face. Prior to treatment, you will attend a consultation appointment to decide which treatment is right for you. You and your clinician will discuss your medical history and desired results and determine which option will best fit your needs. After you’ve chosen a treatment, you can schedule your procedure.
During treatment, Lidocaine will be used to help numb the area and reduce any potential discomfort, and we can provide a topical anesthetic as needed. The treatment area will first be marked before treatment is administered via an ultra-fine needle.
After treatment, you may experience some mild side effects, including swelling, firmness, redness, discoloration, tenderness, and itching. Side effects usually last around one week, though they can last up to 30 days. You can return to your normal activities immediately following your procedure, but avoid extreme exercise and sun exposure for 24 hours.
