Treatment with Juvéderm® Voluma® XC usually lasts about 45 minutes and will consist of a series of at least two injections. Your McAllen med spa clinician will inject the gel into one cheek at a time and wait, giving the lidocaine time to take effect before carrying out subsequent injections. Your Juvéderm specialist will continue to inject small amounts of the gel into each cheek until the desired results are achieved.
You may experience temporary swelling, tenderness, bruising, itching, or firmness near the injection site, with side effects lasting from two to four weeks. Icing the area may help with any discomfort. Avoid strenuous activities and extreme sunlight or heat for at least 24 hours.
